You must apply for a chicken permit at Roundup's City Office (34 3rd Ave W / 406-323-2804) before acquiring any birds. There is a fee required, as well as some things to keep in mind while you put together your coop (space requirements per bird, offsets from property boundaries and residences, food and manure storage specifications, etc), so it is worth making a careful study of the regulations before diving into your project. |
